Social Ministry and Commitment to the Less Fortunate

As part of its calling, JKI Sola Gracia is also actively ministering to underprivileged communities — especially those who already know the love of Christ — through tangible actions and spiritual support.

This ministry includes:

  • Providing basic necessities.
  • Evangelistic activities and spiritual mentoring.
  • Character building and strengthening in faith.
  • Reaching out to struggling families who, despite hardships, long to grow in the knowledge of God.

International Mission Ministry

At present, JKI Sola Gracia is expanding its international mission service, particularly to Indonesian citizens living and working abroad. The primary goal is to nurture and minister to their spiritual needs while overseas.

In 2025, the church officially commissioned its first missionary to Japan, namely Pdm. Hari Pranoto, S.Th., who was ordained during the event of the 4th Lustrum of JKI Sola Gracia.

This ordination is part of the church’s formal commissioning as a response to the growing need for ministry to the Indonesian diaspora in Japan.

Institutions and supporting bodies involved:

  • Sending Church: JKI Sola Gracia (Demak, Central Java).
  • Training Institution: Kansai Bible Institute (KBI), Nara – Japan.
  • Visa and Legality: Missionaries carry out their duties in Japan under the Religious Activities Visa.
  • JKI Synod: Provides structural and spiritual support.

Japan Mission

Vision

To establish an Indonesian diaspora church in Japan that grows in Christ, lives in love, and becomes a light to others in Japan.

Mission

  1. Reach Indonesians in Japan with the love of Christ through contextual approaches.
  2. Provide worship venues and regular services, pastoral care, and spiritual development communities.
  3. Empower Indonesians in Japan through leadership training and skill development, as well as character and moral formation.
  4. Serve as a cultural and spiritual bridge between Indonesia and Japan.

Fellowship of JKI Sola Gracia Bandung

As part of its ministry development, JKI Sola Gracia has formed the Fellowship of JKI Sola Gracia Bandung, a prayer fellowship that began in June 2025. The fellowship has an organisational structure consisting of a coordinator, secretary, and treasurer.

This prayer fellowship aims to expand the outreach of the ministry and will be established as a mission church, following the pattern and spirit of JKI Sola Gracia Church.
